17th-Oct-2005 08:55 pm - Announcement re Wildcrafting Club
motherboard
Anyone interested in joining up with the Wildcrafting Club, we'll be going out on our third outing this Wednesday evening around 8ist, Eastern Time. We'll be playing in slowtime over the course of the week. I welcome improvisation and the appearance of spontaneous monsters, magical creatures, and dangerous herbs.

I'm trying to find the original post with my member listing, but it was from back in September and I'm not sure how many original members are still with us. Signup is currently open. [info]kikidelivers and [info]threeweapons were the only ones to show for last week's meeting, although we had a larger turnout for the one before that.

Also, I had a question regarding the geography around fandomhigh and the layout of the fandomhigh buildings themselves. I saw that a map of the Town has been made. Has one been started for Fandomhigh itself? I envisioned a wild area with woods and whatnot on the other side of the town, but didn't want to step on canon. Wildcrafting Club will probably map out the parkland outside and will include descriptions of the physical plant of the high school itself.

Okay, going offline until tomorrow now.

So I seem to be fitting back into life at [info]fandomhigh rather nicely, and am glad to report I haven't lost any more days lately. Two of my professors seem to have disappeared, though, and I'm beginning to wonder whether Anthropology is still in session. I'm heading down to Guidance after I finish this to see whether I should be signing up for new classes.

Wildcrafting Club was nice last week, but kinda boring. We found some great patches of cinquefoil, sage, and mullein. I'd like to see if I can find some mugwort too, and maybe put together a flying ointment. That seems like the sort of thing that Paige would like to help with.

I did some scrying to see if I could figure out where I went when I lost days. I know it has something to do with the windows -- I'm just not sure what. It only seems to happen after dark, so keeping the curtains drawn seems to help. I'm glad it's not 24/7, because this room would be really depressing with no sunlight. The scrying was only partly successful. Here's a bit of what I remember:

~ being in college, with Buffy. Much skinnier, the both of us. I actually looked really glamorous!
~ Anyanka with a magic store
~ practicing magic with a woman, running away from a group of girls who were posers, all into wearing the jewelry and not actually *doing* anything. I can remember her smell, her eyes, but not much else. I liked her. A lot.
~ from beneath you, it devours

God, that last sounds like the Hellmouth. Well, that's what it did.

Anyway, off to Guidance.

[[Private Journal Entry]]

I did it. I screwed up my courage and talked to that cute girl I met in my Anthro class. Still not sure whether she feels the same way -- if she even swings that way. But she gave me some cookies, so all was not lost. She has an interesting history.

I've gotta go search out Oz. I promised I wouldn't avoid him anymore. And I guess that means I shouldn't avoid the rest of the gang either. It helps that I haven't lost any more days.

But first I think I need to make a trip down to Guidance to see about my schedule. I have a feeling Ms. Schecter hasn't held class in quite some time.
7th-Oct-2005 05:41 pm - Homecoming preparations
concerned
Willow stumbles into her room with a huge rustling package covered with dry-cleaner's plastic. There is something different about her hair.

A little while later, she emerges from her room, totally transformed ).

She catches the back of her dress on a heel, swears briefly, and then hurries on down the hallyway. "I hope there are still some tickets for sale at the front door," she mumbles.
6th-Oct-2005 06:01 pm - Classes finally over
concerned
Willow drops her books in a pile by the door, collapses onto her bed. "Great mother," she breathes at no one in particular. Stares at the ceiling.

Wonders if she really wants to go to the Homecoming Dance. Wonders if she's the only one in the school who wants to go with another girl.

Sighs.

Door is open, in case anyone should wander by.
5th-Oct-2005 03:21 pm - I think I might like girls
concerned
In fact, I think I might like one in particular, but I'm not really sure.

Then I see some of the guys here, and I'm not sure. Maybe this is just what it's like being a teenager.

Anyway. I think Oz is going to break up with me soon. Which is kind of a relief. I think.

Do I want to go through life as a lesbian? Does that mean I have to cut my hair and wear flannel shirts all the time? I don't think flannel is a good look for me.
22nd-Sep-2005 05:42 pm - What happened?
concerned
Last thing I knew I was trying to open the damn windows in my room again... then it seems like a whole week went by or something! I'm even on the detention list for Anthro. Handed in my back homework, so hopefully I can make that up... but god knows what happened.

I think I missed the first meeting of the Wildcrafting Club, too. I wonder whether they met without me..
22nd-Sep-2005 05:37 pm - Willow's Voicemail
concerned
Hi, this is Willow Rosenberg. Well, actually, it's my voicemail. I'm not here right now, probably because I'm in the computer lab, or studying, or in the library looking up demons herbs and stuff for the Wildcrafting Club. Please leave a message after the beep and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Or better yet, send me an email at wrosenberg@fandomhigh.edu [OOC: Not a real email address].... beep

[OOC: Use this thread to leave voicemail for Willow. Please use the subject line so that I can see what it's about!]
13th-Sep-2005 06:36 pm - FINALLY! My schedule!
concerned
Okay, I think this is my schedule.

English Jennifer Schecter ([info]tormenting_art); fluid time
Intro to Anthropology, Dr. Daniel Jackson ([info]the_ascended): MWF 10:10-11am
Geology, Sara Sidle ([info]equalsmcsquared); Class:MW 12:30-2pm, Lab:TF 2-5pm;
Technology Systems, Mr. Question ([info]humanenigma); T 11-12, Th 2-3

Phew. No colocation spells necessary. Thank God/dess, because it really does take a lot out of me to do that for the whole semester.

With that and the Wildcrafting Club, I think my plate is pretty full! Except that it really does suck being totally broke most of the time. Maybe I can get a job in town... or with one of the teachers. There was something about assisting [info]sueofthecamels, but she also said something about pole dancing. I don't think I want to do any pole dancing. Maybe [info]not_an_ex_demon would be interested in starting another magic shop, and then I could help her with that again.
8th-Sep-2005 09:40 am - What's my schedule?
concerned
I see all these other students posting their schedules. I have no idea whether mine has any conflicts, but I guess if it's a problem I can always do that colocation spell I know...

Hope it's no too late to sign up for archaelogy. There were some really cute girls really interesting things about that class.

Oh, and [info]professoryoda volunteered to be the faculty sponsor for the Wildcrafting Club. Yay! His class, and Gandalf's Comparative Religions class, were also very tempting. Maybe next term.
